Nightmare disorder/Project description
For this project we were each given a different mental disorder to research, as for me, I got to study Nightmare disorder. The main pieces of this project we each had to make, were the Case Report focused on our disorder, and a creative writing piece.
What I researched:
Nightmare disorder, is when you frequently struggle from severe nightmares that affect your day to day life. The memory of the dreams are commonly related to putting your life at risk, or survival. These nightmares also cause you to be extremely alert once you wake up which can cause stress or anxiety. Nightmare disorder most commonly affects children, or young adults, but has been known to affect older people as well.

What i learned during this project
Generally overall, I learned a lot about Nightmare disorder, and I also largely improved my writing skills. I was only able to write 13 pages unfortunately, even though I was planning to write much more, but we ran out of time. I also learned what I need to improve on when writing, which mostly revolves around grammar and spelling.
Reflection
For the most part I enjoyed this project, but it did feel really rushed, as we only had a little over a month to complete it. It was neat learning about mental illnesses and I was excited to get to finally write a creative writing piece this year. It was also cool that we incorporated so much art into this project, and I really enjoy art. The only thing I would have changed about this project, is getting more time to do it because I could have done so much more with it. Mostly writing, I could have written a lot more.
