What was my internship project?
1. I started out with my internship project being a portfolio that we were going to put all the artwork I created at the studio during internship. I painted one side of the portfolio folder during the first week, and then this week I started to paint the other side. The idea was that we were going to see how my artwork changed from the beginning to the end of internship. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time for me to finish painting the second side during internship so I still have to finish it on my own time. A second project that ended up developing during week 2 of internship was my Custos project. (Custos is the character I created) We started to develop his character and I created things like his colors, his story, and ideas on what I can do with Custos and other characters I make in the future. My mentor Miss Yvette created business cards and shirts for Custos as well which was super nice of her. I don't have any pictures of these because they haven't come in the mail yet. I do have the picture of Custos that we put on the shirts and the cards which is a painting I made during week | The front side (Week 1)The unfinished back side |
3. Technically I have a third project as well. My mentor Miss Yvette has invited me to help her daughter/my friend Cassidy teach a 6 week art class to kids ages 6-10 during the summer. This past week we talked about it the most and started planning ideas of what we could do for this. We also talked about developing a monster making class, where people can come to the studio and create paper paper mache monsters or dragons.

I plan to add the pictures of the cards and the shirts once they come in the mail, as well as the finished version of the second half to my portfolio folder once I finish painting it.
