WHat are you most proud of?
This one has a bit of a story. When we were waiting for our turn to record and we were practicing, we decided our script was too short, so at the last minute we decided to add more and managed to memorize it for the most part in the thirty or minutes or so we had left before it was our turn. Im proud that we managed to do that so quickly. Im also proud of the story we came up with because it was fun to make, and to practice. I would say to record as well, but i'm awkward around cameras.
Describe something your partner did that encouraged you in preparing for this?
My partner for the midterm video was my good friend Audrey, and she encouraged me to prepare mostly with how much and how often we changed the script. New ideas kept coming up and our video plan kept changing, so by the time we finalized our idea we were almost out of time which encouraged me to keep prepared throughout the weeks we had. Also, she helped me on the final day when we last minute added more lines to our script when I had to memorize more stuff last minute.
What specific language from your video can you use in your community? WIth whom?
Its difficult to say, because our video was about us robbing someone, but I guess I learned how to properly argue with someone in Spanish. Haha. Seriously though, I could probably use what I learned in a few different situations. For instance, in the beginning we used the word "irrelevant" a lot when we were yelling which is another word I now know, and i'm a slow learner so thats always nice. In a more broad kind of example, because I don't think ill ever be robbing someone, if I ever manage to get into voice acting id probably use the kind of language we used here along the lines of that. like saying "they'll kill us" or "They're almost here." Overall, I would be concerned if I had to use any of what we said in the community.
If you were to assign grade to yourself, what would you give yourself? WHy?
Assuming Audrey and I ever get the time to edit our video together i'd give us a B- because we spent a lot of time figuring everything out and we memorized everything better than I thought we would which is always a nice surprise. Only, I think we could have made our video longer, which we realized much too late, but it also ended up being short because we took out a few scenes at the last minute because we forgot some props we planned to have. Im mostly comparing this video we made to a different video project we did in 9th grade which ended up being a mess and I remember our end product being sideways and incredibly confusing. It was a relief to have this video project we did together come out normal, and understandable.
