Assignment for this video
We were given the picture at the bottom of the page, and told to create a conversation around it that was about two minutes in length. Our conversation was about why Olivia and I don't like the beach and our reasoning why.
Partner Reflection
How often did your partner reach out to you to practice outside of school?/ How much time did this student commit to practicing outside of school?
My partner for this video was Olivia, and technically seeking she didn't reach out to practice outside of school, but to be fair neither did I. This was most likely because I was sick for a few days and missed school and we didn't have any way to communicate. We were also busy with other school work, and were confident enough with what we had already so it didn't even occur to us to try to contact each other. Either way it didn't really matter, we both practiced enough on our own time and managed to memorize enough on our own. I'd like to believe we did a good job.
Do you feel this person pushed you to try your best? How?
When we did get the chance to practice during class, Olivia helped a lot, as she was familiar enough with my lines to help me when I got confused, or lost which happened a lot.
Would you like to collaborate with this person again? Why or why not?
I wouldn't mind collaborating with Olivia again, the only struggle was with communication, as we don't know each other very well so communicating was difficult and we probably could have practiced together a bit more. Overall, she is a nice person to work with and she is good at Spanish and way more familiar with it than I am which helps when learning.
How did you stick to your plan or change your plan for this video?
Our original plan to help study for this video was to practice for a few times and than silently practice with ourselves for 15 to 20 minutes while we memorized a new line, and than practice with each other again now with the new line we just learned. We only got the chance to do this once and it worked very well, but than I got sick for half a week and we didn't get the chance to practice in class again until the day of recording and by than we had both already memorized our lines on our own. On the day we filmed we just kept practicing with each other until it was our turn to record.
